Business Development Manager

Reporting directly to the President, 6P Marketing is seeking a Business Development Manager to support 6P’s sales team. Your job is to craft the story we present to the crazy awesome array of amazing companies that invite us to help them solve their advertising / communications challenge.


1          The BDM’s purpose is to handle most, if not all, sales related activities within the department. Such as: Identifying prospects, prospect conversion, proposal writing, internal sales support & proposal system training, event planning (sales / business development related), data management, CRM and pipeline management, and representing the company in the marketplace
2          Execute Agencies’ Marketing program
3          To achieve revenue targets for new work according to the company pricing policy and profitability targets
4          To oversee the smooth transfer of information from Sales to Operations by ensuring all necessary information is detailed and thoroughly recorded to set up operations for success


  • Grade 12 completed with some post secondary education relevant to Sales & Marketing function.
  • Preferred: Degree/Diploma in Business, Marketing or Creative Communications (*Proposal writing considered an asset)


You must be a top-notch communicator with impeccable writing skills as you will handle the preparation of all sales proposals, presentations and administration of our sales information systems.

  • Post-secondary education with 2 or more years experience in a sales and customer service role
  • Must have first-rate proposal writing / presentation preparation skills
  • Preferred: 2 or more years experience in an equivalent role.
  • Must be a quick learner, detail oriented / thorough to the point of no return.
  • Genuinely curious and interested in businesses and how they tick.
  • Loves variety, challenge and is looking to be the master of none.
  • Must have a strong interest in learning new programs and advanced level of knowledge (efficiency & effectiveness) of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with marketing automation / CRM (Salesforce, hubspot in particular) is highly beneficial as is familiarity with other Sales related tools.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
Monday to Friday. Some evening / morning events. No Weekends.
In Office with some remote. Flex time options available.
Commensurate with experience.
